Safoora Farshid [1], a PhD candidate in Biomaterials Biomedical Engineering, was on the sabbatical leave at University of Palermo, Italy, for 6months. Through this period (May-October 2022), she advanced her dissertation, experimentally and analytically. She investigated the long-term corrosion behavior and hydrogen evolution rate of multilayer Plasma electrolytic oxidation/Hydroxyapatite/Poly Dopamine coated magnesium alloy (WE43) under supervision of Prof. Mahshid Kharaziha (IUT), Prof. Masud Atapour (IUT), Prof. Mazdak Hakemi (Isfahan University of Medical Sciences) and Prof. Monica Santamaria (University of Palermo). She has published the results of her study in two scientific papers accepted in the journal of Magnesium and Alloy (ISI, IF: 11.81).
