Abdollah Saboori was a visiting researcher at the University of Birmingham-UK in 2016 and then obtained his Ph.D. with honors in 2017 in the field of Materials Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin in Italy. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the group of Additive Manufacturing Processes at the Polytechnic University of Turin and a member of the Italian Additive Manufacturing Technologies Center. He is also an editorial board member of several international journals in Metallurgy and Materials engineering and a member of the scientific committee of several international conferences. Abdollah Saboori has authored more than 80 papers in Materials Engineering and new manufacturing processes in Scopus-indexed journals and has a U.S. patent in ceramic AM. In recent years, he has won several international awards for his research in the field of Materials Engineering. His consecutive presence in the 2021 and 2022 2% top scientists list is an important achievement in his academic career. His research topics mainly deal with finding the relationship between the properties of metal materials and AM processes. In recent years, his scientific activity has focused on developing new alloys, composites, and functionally graded materials produced via metal AM methods.

He has participated in several regional and European research projects in the field of additive manufacturing and has extensive collaborations with several international research institutions and companies. Currently, his teaching and research focus on developing new materials and AM methods for producing various industrial parts.    Research Gate & Publications
