  • After my arrival at Erich Schmid Institute of Materials Science in Leoben, Astria, I was accommodated at Prof. Sperl’s home, who was one of the retired Professors of the named Institute (he is deceased now). During my stay in Leoben, I used a wide range of scientific instruments under the supervision of Prof. Pippan at Erich Schmid Institute and received a lot of cooperation from him. In addition to various experiments conducted on my samples by HPT testing machine, a range of instruments including TEM, HRTEM, SEM, EBSD and DSC was also used to evaluate thoroughly the SPD behavior of a 2024 Al alloy. These experiments allowed me to study the behavior of acquired nano-size grains of this alloy.
