Sabbatical Report |
During the research visit, the plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings were produced on the Mg-based alloys. In order to reinforce the mentioned coating, two strategies were taken into account: incorporation of Multiwalled carbon nano tubes (MWCNTs) and applying a duplex polymeric (polycaprolactone) layer. At the next stage, the coated and uncoated samples were fully characterized and subsequently assessed in terms of mechanical, tribological, and electrochemical properties. Two papers have been published so far in two Q1 journals with the impact factor of 6.37 and 11.8.
